“OY Sound System” (also abbreviated as OYSS) is a band founded in Lviv by Mark Halanevych, a vocalist from the band “DakhaBrakha”, and his brother Taras Halanevych, a sound producer. At some point, vocalist Viktoriia Rodko has joined the band. The band works in the experimental mode with synthetic textures, drive bassing and bits, and an active involvement of string, wind and percussion ethnic instruments. At the same time, the vocal texture balances between jazz and ethnic Ukrainian sound.

In August 2017, the band has released its debut album “Attention! Attention!”, which immediately entered the ratings of many influential music editions. This result can be achieved only by thorough examination of electronic music theory, folk culture of flea markets, the gangsta rap and the history of Jamaica. Then you need to pack it into the dance fightings and arrange a storm on any stable stage with the help of them. It’s extravagant, ironic, elegant and ear-catching. It’s an electronic rattle mix, or, put simply, “Oy!”
